Show Councilman's wife helps nab drug dealer By JOHN W.CANNON FARMINGTON - JoLynn Bell, wife of Farmington City Councilman Coun-cilman Gregory Bell, helped Farmington Farm-ington City Police capture a suspected drug dealer by pulling her suburban into the street blocking the path of the dealers speeding car. A little over a week ago Bell watched as a speeding car raced up 1 100 North in Farmington. A Farmington Farm-ington city police squad car was right on it's tail with lights and sirens blasting. The car disappeared up the street but reappeared shortly heading back down the hilL "It really made me mad that he was speeding through the community communi-ty like that," said Bell. "So I pulled my Suburban out into the street blocking his way. I started to wonder if that was a smart thing to do as he sped toward me." Bell's son Ryan, who had been watching wat-ching the excitement, found the thrown object-a small bag of cocaine. co-caine. "I had no Idea that I was pulling out in front of a drug dealer," said Bell. "It was just a reflexive thing. It was all pretty exciting.' |
