Show United Way names CEO Don Adams, president-elect this year has been transferred to Seattle, Wash. No replacement has been named to fill his term. Larry Burdett, executive director, indicated that this is the first time in 17 years that four key leaders transferred trans-ferred out of state. Burdette stated, "They provided great volunteer leadership and we will miss them. It is always nice to have others qualified and willing to step in and provide the necessary direction to their committees and board." The United Way raised $679,310 in 1989 and is expected to raise more than $700,000 this year. As a result of promotions and transfers out of state, the United Way of Davis County has made changes in its key volunteer leadership. leader-ship. Simmons, vice president and area manager for First Interstate Bank, is the new president replacing Roe Walker, . who moved to Fort Worth, Texas. Simmons has served on the executive committee and board for the past 14 years. He is a graduate of BYU and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking Bank-ing at Rutgers University. Herb Grounds, area manager for Rockwell International, is the 1990 campaign chairman replacing Jim Branch, who was transferred to Bartlesville, Okla. Grounds is on the executive committee and served as campaign area chairman last year. Dr. Dolores Hansen, principal, Layton Elementary School, is the new Fund Distribution committee chair. Dr. Hansen has served on the executive committee and board for the past 10 years. She replaces Craig Moyes, who moved to Phoenix, Ariz, |
