Show United Savings Bank's mortgage loans up 80 percent ' 1 The Davis County offices of United Savings Bank registered 108 mortgage loans in first quarter of 1990 compared to 60 for the same period in 1989 for a remarkable 80 percent increase of the total Davis County market in the number of recordings. Leigh Van Dyke, manager of the Bountiful office at 319 S. Main, said the dollar volume was up 61 percent from the $4.5 million in 1989's first quarter to $7.3 million in 1990. Again, that figure almost doubles the 34.6 percent market-wide market-wide increase in dollar amount. Van Dyke said the institution's market share of 14.75 percent is up almost three percent from last year's rate of 11.9 percent in number of recordings and the dollar volume market share is up 14.5 percent per-cent from last year's 12 percent. He commented that the figures put UnitedWestern in the number one position for amount of first mortgages in Davis County for first quarter of 1990. He credited the company's sizable increase to the professionalism and customer service ser-vice orientation of its mortgage loan officers. |
