By DIRK FACER Sports Editor MURRAY While it may have taken 15 years for Davis to return to the state baseball tournament, tourna-ment, it took only two games to end the historic journey. The Darts were ousted following losses to Bingham and West Jordan. The 4-0 loss to the Jaguars Tuesday sent the Region One co-champions back to Kaysville. Davis committed four errors and allowed six hits in the contest. West Jordan was paced by a two-run burst in the third inning to secure the victory. Matt Hill's double highlighted the Davis effort. Bingham 7, DAVIS 1 MURRAY The Heat Wave was deep freezed Monday night in the 4A state quarterfinals. Davis flamethrower Ryan Sprague was chased from the game after three innings as Bingham cruised to a 7-1 victory. The Darts, making their first state tournament appearance since 1977, fell victim to a seven-hit Miner barrage bar-rage that included a two-run homer by Barry Fullmer and a three-run triple by Nate Forbush. "It feels good to be able to score runs off someone the quality of Ryan Sprague. Our kids battled him pretty good and he battled us," said Bingham coach Brad Bevan. "We looked forward to the challenge of facing him." "I was surprised," said Davis coach Val Cullimore. "I don't care how good you are, you can't get behind every hitter.
