Show Personnel policies approved CENTERVILLE Three ordinances on employee personnel policies have been adopted by City Council. The three ordinances address employee discipline, personnel grievance and appeal, and personnel per-sonnel separation from service. The new policies include procedures for actions in each instance, and forms for personnel use. These changes help Centerville conform with other communities com-munities in Utah in the three areas of personnel management. In other council business, a construction project management agreement with Project Management, Inc. was approved for construction of a new city government govern-ment complex. Jim Allred and Tim Soffe were in attendance, atten-dance, representing the firm, as the agreement was approved ap-proved Scott Wilkinson was named architect for the project, and Cuip Construction Company was chosen as construction manager. Cost of the agreement for all services is $156,400. On a somewhat related note, bylaws for the Municipal Building Authority of Centerville City were approved and officers for the authority elected. Major Michael Kjar was chosen chair of the board and president, presi-dent, with councilman Mike Barton named vice president presi-dent and Marilyn Holje secretary-treasurer. One final business item approved by council was purchase of a new backhoe for the Parks and Cemetery Department. The fiscal 1992 budget called for a $40,000 appropriation for the item. Following a bid opening June 11, Maw Equipment of Ogden was awarded a contract for $38,400 for a Case backhoe with an annual trade-out. Maw was lowest of four bidders on the backhoe. |
