Mr. and Mrs. Joe Rakich vis-ited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Plott of Murray last Monday. Mrs. Pina Azzclio and Mrs. John Tazzer attended the fun-eral of Rosina Benvgnu in Salt Lake City Tuesday. visiting with Mr. Day's mother, Mrs. Maude Day and his sister land husband, Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Beck. Mrs. Eva Barela returned to her home in Truchas, N. Mex., after spending the past few months with her son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Barela and family and another son, Mike Barela. Lois Barela returned home with her grandmother for a few months visit. 'HIGHLAND BOY.' Mrs. Frances B. Hawkins Ph. 593-- Community House Boy Scouts of Troop 113 had an exciting week end. Friday evening they had a basketball game with Bingham boys in the Community House gym, then had a slumber party, cooked their own breakfast Saturday morning and went on a ten mile hike, passed certain cooking re- -' ciuirtments making their fires find cooking lunch on the moun-- j tainside at noon. Assistant Scout-master Bill Baughton directed the two day activities. Monday ' night the boys presented the flag ceremonies at the Highland Boy School program. Friday night Cub Pack 31 en-joyed a basketball game with young guests from the Civic Cen-ter and their leaders, Mr. Bates and Mr. Arritola. The Cubs are working on scrap books one afternoon a week and on wood work projects one af-ternoon. The Home Guards spend one of their afternoons at the House per week learning to cook, and to be proper hostesses. Their oth-er afternoon is spent in recrea-tion. This community extends its deepest sympathy to Mrs. Pete Predovich and Ann and John in the loss of their beloved husband and father. Highland Boy Highland Boy P-T- A held its founder's day program at the school Monday evening. The pro-gram opened with the posting of the colors followed by the pledge of allegience. Joe Rakich gave the opening prayer. The kinder-garten presented a play drill to records under supervision of Miss Mildred May and the ele-mentary group gave a play "Am-erica Speaks", each grade repre-senting a part of our heritage and sang patriotic songs. The prologue was given by Rose Ar-chuleta. Past A presidents were honored and each present-ed a small plant and past presi-dent's pin. At the business meeting which was held after the program, elec-tion of officers was held with the following elected to serve in the coming year: Mrs. Angie Barela, president; Mrs. Ann Zanardi, vice president, and Mrs. Erma Yengich, secretary-treasure- r. Louis Georgio of Midvale brought his younger brother who just recently arrived here from Belgium, to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Scorzato and family Tuesday. ' Mr. and Mrs. Nick Dokos and son of Salt Lake City were vis-itors last Friday at the Joe Scor-zato home. Jack Hawkins is attending the R basketball tournament at Pro-vo this week. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Nichol were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Fuller of Salt Lake City. In the evening they all attended a show. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Keysaw and children were Salt Lake City visitors last Saturday. Mrs. E. A. Beck and daughter, LaRae and son, Ralph, were Fri-day visitors of Mrs. Beverly Shea and sons of Bingham. John Shea of West Jordan was week end guest at the home of his sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Keysaw. Mrs. John Day, Mrs. Allen Terry and her two daughters, Mrs. Norma Johnson and Mis. Lola Mae Olson of Draper, Mrs. William Day of Sandy, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Erickson and dau-ghter JoAnn of Midvale and Mrs. Beverly Shea and sons, Ricky , and Randy, were visitors at the E. A. Beck home last Thursday. The occasion celebrated the 81st birthday anniversary of their mother and grandmother, Mrs. Maude 'Day. Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Michael-se- n and family spent Sunday vis-iting at the home of Mr. and Mrs Mark Michaelsen of Kearns and Mrs. Hazel Michaelsen of Rich-field who is visiting here with her family for awhile. Visiting in Lark Saturday with friends and relatives were Re-gi-and Karen Michaelsen of Salt Lake City, former Lark re-sidents. The Copperton and Lark Wo-men's Society of Christian Ser-vice met at the home of Mrs.' Bert Thomas Tuesday evening, March 15th. This helped, but after a few A weeks she fell Into the same old rut of worry, She I graduated and thus ended that line of worry, didn't f ftJ I seem to help her condition, for when she went to J work for the telephone company she was worried for fear she wouldn't do her work Just right. She had CARNEGIE two nervous breakdowns while working there. Why? Worry! Then the one thing she had feared most, happened. Her mother died. Her world was shattered, but she was made to realize that no matter how much she grieved or worried about her-- mother's death, tt would not bring her back. Finally she ran across a book on worry which illustrated so many situations similar to hers, and which showed her how futile It U to j worry, that she began thinking differently. Now, when she starts to worry, she breathes a prayer to God to take her worries from her and He has never failed her.
