Show Lions president plans activities - . - - v iiii.;:' I ' j BOUNTIFUL - Louise Tate, this year's new Bountiful Lady Lions President is helping organize the club's activities for the coming year. The activities will be planned at a special opening social to be held on Sept 18, at Servus Drug. ' Louise has been very involved in community service efforts since she and her husband, Tim, moved into the area from Salt Lake in 1970. In addition to her duties as president of the Bountiful Lady Lions, she spends many hours organizing the programming for her neighborhood cub scout pack, which she serves as committee chairman. For fifteen years, Louise was a very active member of the Bountiful Boun-tiful Jaycee Women, and was awarded the Utah Jaycee "Wife of the Year" in 1975, Utah Jaycee Women "Key woman of the Year" in both 1984 and 1985, Utah Jaycee Women "Sparkette Award" in both 1982 and 1984, and the National "Congresswomen Award" in 1984. She served as President of the North Salt Lake Jayceettes in 1972. President of the Bountiful Jaycee Women in 1981, and Utah Jaycee Women Treasurer in 1977. Louise has been an active delegate dele-gate for Women's State Legislative Council for the past fourteen years, and has served the organization as a committee chairwoman and board member. Louise has been involved with the Bountiful Lady Lions for the past four years, and served as first vice president' last year. The club .traditionally provides food concessions conces-sions at the annual Bountiful Lions Turkey Shoot, operates a Sub for Santa Project, and provides funding LOUISE TATE for . three girls representing each area high school to attend Girls State, Louise is employed at the South Davis Community Hospital as office of-fice manager for the Physical Therapy Department, Rocky Mountain Moun-tain Rehabilitation. She resides with her husband and three children in Bountiful. Assisting Mrs. Tate during the ' ' next year will be Judith Hills, first vice president; Diane King, second vice president; Becky Addington, secretary; Beth East, treasurer; Earlene Allen, Dianne McKen.ie, and Dora Trowbridge, directors; Dan'L Kelly, parliamentarian; Carol Lockwood, historian. |
