Show Officers to be chosen at NARFE meeting Chapter President Carrol Howell, of the BountifulSouth Davis Chapter Chap-ter of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, urges all members in the South Davis area to attend the organization's monthly meetings on April 11 at the Golden Years Center, 726 S. 100 E., Bountiful. Boun-tiful. The meeting will convene at 12:30 p.m. for the purpose of nominating nom-inating and electing chapter officers to serve for the next two years. A nominating committee has been working to select a slate of qualified members and nominations will be accepted from the floor. Nominees must be members in good standing and must agree to accept ac-cept the nomination and to serve in the appropriate office, if elected. Offices to , be filled are: chapter president, vice president, treasurer, secretary and chapter service offi cer. The purpose of NARFE is to serve the community and to assist federal retirees or prospective retirees re-tirees by providing information and guidance in matters pertaining to retirement re-tirement benefits, survivors' rights and benefits, assistance to surviving spouse in applying for appropriate benefits, and to provide, assistance to federal agencies in planning and conducting retirement seminars for their employees. These services may be obtained by contacting the nearest local chapter or state federation fed-eration officers. The BountifulSouth Davis chapter chap-ter meets at the Golden Years Center on the second Tuesday of each, month, at 12:30 p.m. All federal retirees, re-tirees, prospective retirees, spouses, or survivors are invited to attend. |
