Show Schools V By HILLARY HUEFNER Eons ago, even before the beginning begin-ning of time, space, or Junior Week, advanced life forms were found throughout the halls of Bountiful High School. . John Gibb took first place in sculpture at the Davis County High School Aft Competition held at the BountifulDavis Art Center. Paul Tew was named runner up for the art announcement contest At the Alta Triathalon for speech and debate students held on Jan. 14, Bountiful High School as a force to be reckoned with. The debate team of Jennifer Lundgren and Catherine Doxey placed first in debate, while Jennifer Lundgren and Melissa Bean earned first and second place respectively in impromptu. Kristen Anderson took first in expository speaking and the orators swept the competition with Shane Hadley taking first, John Eyring, second, and Richard Blake, third. , Junior Week (Jan. 23-28was frenzied-kisses were sent by the dozen; frantic-no one seemed to ' remember to comb their hair on Tuesdays and fabulous-ask any of Junior;pfficeilTTieyw hard and their results were terrific. The week ended with a Junior Assembly, As-sembly, a boys' 'basketball game (BHS against VHS) and the Junior-Prom Junior-Prom at the Hilton. Thanks to everyone who participated and congratulations co-ngratulations tohe Juniors. Higher life forms must keep moving, however. All girls interested inter-ested in attending Girls'- State . should pick up applications from Mr. Carver. The region swimming meet is today, to-day, Feb. ,1, at South High School. Tomorrow, Feb. 2, the BHS girls basketball team takes- on WX at Bountiful while the regional wrestling wres-tling meet will be held at Highland High School. The boys' basketball team takes on Davis at Davis the 3rd. Good luck to speech and drama students at the Weber EE tournament tourna-ment on Saturday, the 4th.
