Elected, by unanimous vote were the following: Clara Goudy, president; E. Smith Randall, vice president; Marlene Dalrymple, secretary-treasurer, . Clifford Russell, Richard Williams and Elbert Randall, directors. Cliffs special duties will be as photographer . ;u''''?:'?'';t! Holdover directors are Ileene Worsley, membership, and Vestil Harr- -ison, programs and publicity.' .. . . Retiring directors are Leon Olsen, legal advisor and Mabel Coles Law. . " Other changes as a result of. the election are: Smith Randall, retiring as president, and becoming vice president; Richard Williams, relinquishing the title of vice president to become a newly elected director," and Clara ( Goudy, whose term as director and historian expired, and who now assumes as-sumes the presidency. ' ' . A program followed which consisted of a chalk talk by Vestil Harrison during which he changed a smiling boy into an old man, made a grouchy man smile, turned a sea serpent into a duck, showed several 'invisible' scenes, evolved grandpa's shaving brush and mug into grandpa, made a monkey into a cat, developed a pear into a papoose, did tricks with a heart, showed how a lazy Roman artist saved his energy and yet did his job, turned tur-ned a paint brush into a painter, did magic with a magician and a rabbit, handled the antics of a tricky little rabbit, changed grandpa into grandma, and wished all a happy new year. . ' , Interspersed in the chalk talk were clever old English and early Ameri-can Ameri-can Folk songs sung by Kathy Newton of Bountiful, who accompanied 'herselfon the guitar. . Following the program, refreshments, provided by the officers, were en- ; joyed. ... - ;v On Feb. 15, Clyde Mclntyre, who has played an important part as a vo-calist, vo-calist, instrumentalist, and particularly as a leader and conductor of choirs, f choral groups and cantatas for the past 60 years or more, will trace the history his-tory of music in Centerville, recall the stars of the past and present, and ' provide musical entertainment .
