Show Lagoon seeks ride height increase y IC7J. cr.c-cco j FARMINGTON The Farmington Farm-ington City Council meeting was dominated by a discussion between be-tween representatives from Lagoon La-goon Corporation and the council about proposed amendments to the zoning ordinance concerning the Lagoon area. The amusement park is pressing to change the height restrictions presently in force. The 85-foot restriction res-triction has made it difficult for La goon to compete, since new rides are generally designed higher than that, according to the Lagoon representatives. rep-resentatives. The council asked questions about ab-out noise control efforts and convenience con-venience stores on the premises, as well as changes in Lagoon's master plan being approved by the council. The council will hold a public hearing on the proposed changes at the next regular council meeting. Plans for a West Davis Highway were shown on a map to council members, and concerns about expanding ex-panding major access roads into Farmington, including Main Street, were brought up. Discussion on the possible condemnation con-demnation of the Frank Sarter property was shelved after information infor-mation about an extension of the State Community Development Block Grant deadline was revealed by Max Forbush.
