Show I " L. i L . r F . V. w i 1 Luther Burden, and Mike Sojourner failed to add points to the Utah win but all saw action during the game. Sojourner presents a special problem for the upcoming games. Team physicians say that he has contracted a viral infection which he can't shake. The infection makes him very tired and his recovery time is sometimes as long as seven minutes. Coach Foster said that they will no longer be relying on Sojourner, at least for the immediate future. Foster said Terry and Burden were just a little scared under fire in their first intercollegiate in-tercollegiate contest. He thinks the experience ex-perience eased their tensions and initiated them sufficiently to leave them up for the future. Foster was proud of the team's finesse under pressure during the last seconds of the game. He said that the boys had held onto the ball under the gun and proved themselves them-selves under circumstances not simulated during practice. The Cites will definitely have to put out their best efforts against the Kansas State Wildcats. Friday's defense was lazy at best and the men were too anxious on rebounds. Shooting was fair, but not good enough to pull a victory from the Big Eight champs. Foster commented after Friday's match, "This was the first of 29 tough ones." Monday's match will most certainly be the second. by ROULHACGARN Chronicle Staff The record for the series now stands 13-1 for Utah against Loyola of Los Angeles as the Utes shot their way to a victory Friday night at the Special Events Center.
