Show Utes ready f a Kansas State One of the toughest contests of the season opens Monday night as the Runnin' Utes host Kansas State University at 7:30 in the Special Events Center. Foster's young ones will be facing the experienced champions of the Big Eight Conference. Following the mistake-ridden performance against Loyola of Los Angeles, Head Coach Bill Foster hopes to see tighter form and shooting accuracy that the team has exhibited during pre-season practice. Kansas State's Wildcats will come to Utah with eight returning lettermen from last year's 19-9 team. The Wildcats will be depending upon Steve Mitchell, 6-10, 6-10, to break open the game with his scoring and rebound power, Assisting him will be Ernie Kusnyer, 6-5, and Danny Beard, 6-3. Together these men lend 650 pounds of prime player to the Wildcat's starting line-up. |
