Show Union to open until 2 a. m. The costs of extension will be absorbed in the existing budget. Mr. Ernest L. Bebb, Jr., director direc-tor of the Union, said, "A significant signifi-cant number of students have taken advantage of the extension of hours and found it valuable, but we expect the number to grow as the student community finds the extension more valuable. It is believed that this will increase the overall effectiveness of the Union." The Union will remain open until 2 a.m. Monday through Saturday during the fall quarter, on an experimental basis, in response re-sponse to student requests for study space after the Library closes. The program will be evaluated at the end of fall quarter. The Cork Room, the Browsing Room, the Huddle, and the Student Stu-dent Activities Center will remain open for study and organization meetings. Food services will close at the regular time. Night custodial work will continue with little or no interference. The night manager's shift, however, has been extended until 2:00 a.m. |
