Show ASUU okays Hinkley intern to represent U at W. Point appeals council member is Caron Felt. Campus Safely commiltee members are Carol Edison and Julie Lloyd. Barbara Corbell, Gaylen Bunker, Jim Jardine and Frank Overfelt were appointed to Faculty Council. The College of Business Symposium Sym-posium was announced by Brent Evans. Twenty student body, academic aca-demic fraternity, sorority and publication leaders are invited to attend the symposium in Ogden, Nov. 13. The leaders will be informed in-formed on how to face today's problems and will have an opportunity oppor-tunity to express opinions. Mr. Wally Sykes of the National Nation-al Training League spoke to the Executive Council about working on a project for environmental change. John Midgley, was approved to represent the University at the West Point Conference in New York, by the ASUU Executive Council Thursday night. Midgley is a political science major, a Hinckley intern and president of Pi Sigma Alpha, honorary fraternity frater-nity for political science. Midgley went through an interview with Pete Dison, Randy Dryer and Marion Baldwin, adhoc selecting committee. Al Walcher, Finance Board, felt that funds should not be paid entirely by ASUU but should be shared with the Hinckley Hinck-ley Institute since the experience would benefit the Institute more than the studentbody. At the conference Midgley will cover international relations, informative in-formative foreign relations and foreign policies and an apprecia-tion apprecia-tion of nations. Several appointments were made. Academic Affairs Board announced KayLeen Pugh and Ann McDonald for the grading practices council. Appointed to Public Affairs Board, publications publica-tions council, are Lorraine Isom, Jane Coftral and Mike Gebhardt. New on the community service committee is Kathy Buffmire. Also appointed for Campus Affairs Af-fairs Board, was Ed Hunter, replacing re-placing Doug Holt who went on an LDS mission, for the Special Events Center committee. Traffic |
