Show ASUU judges to mull resolve A complaint has been filed with the Judiciary Committee against Associated Students of the University Uni-versity of Utah Executive Council concerning their support of t h e October 15 Vietnam Moratorium by Scott Anderson, chairman of ASUU Advisory Cabinet. A copy of the charges, 8 pages long, lists the three main oppositions opposi-tions to ASUU's stand as (1) being be-ing beyond the power of the Council Coun-cil according to the ASUU Constitution; Con-stitution; (2) being repugnate to the goals and purposes of the Constitution; and (3) being a derogation de-rogation of academic freedom. The Judiciary Committee will meet Monday, October 13 at 4:30 p.m. to hear the case. Anderson and Robert D. Maack, University law student, will be presenting Advisory Cabinet's case. A representative from ASUU will be present to represent ASUU's interests. Frank Overfelt, president of ASUU, feels that this is a "healthy situation." He feels that it shows concern on the students' part in the legality of matters dealth with by the Exec. Council. |
