Show Engineers get 5 gal. stUl A stainless steel distillation still has been presented to the University Department of Chemical Engineering by the American Oil Company, Salt Lake City Refinery. This is a five-gallon, batch Fractionating Tower previously used at the refinery for analyzing new crude oil finds. It is capable of separating gasoline, kerosene and diesel fuel from crud oil by distillation for the purpose of determining refining value. This type experimental equipment provides knowledge and taxability in operations, while in the Laboratory, to better determine the potential uses of crude oil. The equipment, valued at approximately $5,000, is fully instrumented and is manually operated. ' " ' n i IP ill' 1 I 'V i t w h i I Five-gallon still . . . gift from American Oil |
