Show Ad Council Will Plan Your P R Campaign Information for advertising techniques tech-niques ,the promotion of University activities, and guidance for student stu-dent groups will be provided by the new ASUU Advertising Council. Coun-cil. The council outlined its plans during a meeting last Tuesday night. Acting as an advisory board, t council will instruct and infant in-fant (roups about the coordination of advertising campaigns. Their first campaign will center on the forthcoming election. The council plans to place ads and articles in the Chronicle urging voters to register. Although the council will assist in coordinating campaigns, they will leave the actual work to groups requesting help. The Advertising Council will direct di-rect student organizations on campus cam-pus to University departments offering of-fering news coverage and art work. In addition, a workshop has been planned by the council for the development de-velopment of advertising techniques. tech-niques. The workshop will feature representatives from the Chronicle, Public Relations Board, and the Crafts Room. The council has qualified persons majoring in advertising, marketing, and journalism. Led by Chairman Joan Carlston, the council consists of Scott Robertson, Kathy Warner, Ed Ditterline, Robert Kirk, Sherm Neff, Hall Cannon and Harold Malter. Also, an Advisory Committee will be formed to measure the ef-fectvieness ef-fectvieness of the council's activities. |
