Show PMT Starts 5th Season, Tunny Girl5 Takes Lead calls the "Anthology Season" this year. There is much variety in the schedule and the shows should be of interest both to the community commu-nity and to the University people interested in what's happening in the theater. THE BABCOCK THEATRE, of special interest to students, will feature a more avant garde season including four comedies and one modern drama. The drama will be the "Caretaker" by Harold Pinter, a member of the absurd school of the theater. His is a dramatization of what he sees as the absurdity of existence. . Other titles in the Babcock repertoire reper-toire are "This Little Pig Went to Market," winner of the $500 play writing award on campus last year; "Italian Straw Hat," mad, mad' mad, mad, comedy; "Chekhov on Marriage," 5 short plays by the Russian author showing his flair for comedy; "Little Mary Sunshine," Sun-shine," a spoof on the old-fashioned operetta. By CAMILLA MINER Opening with "Funny Girl," Sept. 22-Oct. 1, Pioneer Memorial Theatre Thea-tre begins its fifth full season since its dedication October 10, 1962. This season, which promises to be well balanced, including everything from Funny Girl to Julius Ceasar, has had an excellent advance sales showing. IT IS UNUSUAL for the University Univer-sity to run such a recent show as this musical story of Fanny Brice which is still playing on Broadway and barely finished with its London Lon-don run with Barbra Streisand. Scheduled to run during Welcome Week, the musical will be part of the activities similar to "The Fan-tasticks" Fan-tasticks" last year. Zan Winn, remembered for his role in "The Fantasticks," will portray por-tray the role of Nick Arnstein, Fanny Brice's one love in her rise from an East Side music hall to stardom in the Ziegfeld Follies and radio. Fanny will be played by Joan Payne who is also familiar to PMT audiences for her role in the Hyphen" last season. "AFTER THE FALL," by Arthur M'Her is the second feature of the season, to play from Oct. 13-22. .lflat modern drama will be followed fol-lowed by a wild comedy written y French author Jean Anouilh, R'ng Round The Moon." The comedy is almost a charade to music telling of two identical twins, one a bore and one a ladies man and will run Nov. 10-19. The world premier of the new P'ay "Wake Up, Old Man," written .
