Show NEWLYWEDS Mr. and Mrs. Monty Ray Ashworth greeted their many friends and relatives rela-tives Saturday evening at the Milford LDS recreation hall. The couple exchanged marriage mar-riage vows in the St. George - Temple Saturday morning, with President Harold A. Snow officiating. of-ficiating. For the reception the lovely bride wore 'a wedding gown of lace and net over taffeta. The bodice featured long sleeves, and the full skirt was of net and lace. The veil fell from a tiara trimmed with seed pearls and rhinestones, and featured three tiers of net trimmed with nylon lace. She carried a bouquet of large white chrysanthemums surrounded by tiny red rosebuds. rose-buds. Matron of honor was Mrs. Carlene Reese, sister of the bride, and bridesmaids were Helen Lyman, Sharen Kesler, and Betty Fergueon. Don Ashworth, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man- Ushers were Kent Myers, My-ers, Russell Sly, and Vaughn McDonald. Katie Gaye Gronning, sister of the bride, Ann Myers, Pattie Page and Christie Ashworth were flower girls. The young couple will make their home in Provo. "THERE WAS A SOUND of revelry by night" when Ruth Chapter No. 6, Order of Eastern East-ern Star, entertained the local Masons and their wives at a gala gathering on Saturday night in the dining room of the Masonic Temple . It was a benefit ben-efit party given for the new piano recently installed in the Chapter room. The evening's festivities began be-gan with a delicious smorgasbord smorgas-bord served to more than 80 guests. The table decorations, prepared and arranged by Mrs. Theckla Miller, were beautiful and highly appropriate for the occasion. The gracious table services was directed by Mrs. Helen Orr. Following the dinner an outstanding out-standing program was presented. present-ed. Bill Davis was the witty, clever and original master of ceremonies- The Eastern Star Barbershop Quartet sang several numbers, with Mrs. Dora Pool at the pi-no. pi-no. Mrs. Ardath Outzen gave ' a humorous reading, and Judge Koch held several kangaroo court sessions. Mrs. Dixie Lamb presented a group of tap dancers from the Lamb Dance Studios, and these I .artists were encored several ' times. Bernice Thompson, as a I Hawaiian hula girl, earned a hearty round of applause. The Boaz Boys of Ruth Chap- ter staged a 'fashion show, di-I di-I reted by Mabel Westergard. ! This is a unique group, and the boys are the envy of many other chapters in the state. The piano committee, sponsoring spon-soring the affair, included Mrs. Fonda Magill, chairman; Mrs Margret Murdock, Don Elmer, and John Schnackenberg. j i |
