Show Rainfall Belo Normal At Big Flat Rainfall at Big Flat, at an elevation of 10,000 feet in the Beaver Mountains, was only 9.92 inches for the seven-month j period 'from May to November, 1956, it was reported today by the Soil Conservation Service- The SCS is beginning their annual snow-measuring Dec. 1, and present depth at Big Flat is 6 4 inches of snow, with a water content of 1.33 inches. Rainfall by months was recorded re-corded as follows: May, 3.80 inches; June, .72; July 2.10; August 1.40; Sept. none; October .50; and November, Novem-ber, 1.40 inches. No records are available for p?st years, but the 9.92 inches recorded this year is believed to be far below the normal. |
