Show FOREST RANGER SAYS LAKES CLEAR. FISHING "GOOD" ; Forest Ranger Don D. Seaman told the Beaver County Newspapers News-papers today that lakes and streams in the Beaver Mountains Moun-tains are "generally clear, and opening day anglers should bring home fair catches." "Much of the high country this year will be snowbound for the opening week end," Mr. Seaman said, "however, the road to Puffer's Lake is open and state road crews have been over the road during the past week with maintenance equipment equip-ment .The Kents' Lake road is open and in fair condition." According to Ranger Seaman, considerable time is being spent currently cleaning and maintaining main-taining recreational facilities in the canyon. Generally most improvements im-provements are in fair shape and ready for the influx of fishermen fish-ermen which will begin this week end and continue throughout through-out the summer. Cooperation of all forest users is requested in connection with care and clean-up of camping areas around lakes and along streams. Everyone is urged to make it a point this year to leave the forests as clean as they find them. "Although we are not experiencing exper-iencing extreme fire danger as yet," Ranger Seaman said, "recent "re-cent warm dry winds are rapidly rapid-ly drying out the low range. Please be careful with all fire." |
