Show RED CROSS FALLS UNDER QUOTA; FEW CALLS STILL ON DOCKET A few calls are yet to be made by Milford Red Cross workers, said Mrs. Phyllis Sy-mond, Sy-mond, local chairman, in a last effort to reach their $365 quota. Personal donations, with "a few large ones," have resulted in collections of $269, Mrs. Symond Sy-mond said. However, no business busi-ness firms have been contacted, and any businessman wishing to make a donation may call Mrs. Symond or any member of the Jaycee-Ettes. In addition to Jaycee-Ettes, Mrs. Symond said, the following follow-ing ladies, who are not members mem-bers of the organization, are commended lor their .assistance in this drive: Mrs. Isobel Cox and Mrs. Gladys Whittaker, Milford workers, and the following fol-lowing South Milford workers: Mrs. Delia Paice, who organized organ-ized the South Milford drive: Mrs. Joan McKnight, Mrs. Louise Schow, Georgia Beth and Jennie Sue Smith, Shirley and LeRee Stewart. "We didn't contact any of the organizations, either," Mrs. Symond Sy-mond said, "but we will be glad to receive contributions from any fraternr', civic or social group." |
