Show LIONS PLAN TOUR MARKERS AT FRISCO Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 5 and 6, have been set as "definite "defi-nite dates" for completion of the fireplaces and picnic area in American Legion Park. The action was taken at Wednesday night's regular meeting at the i Hong Kong Cafe. ! With Lion President Delmer Kirk conducting the meeting, the group discussed placing signs near Frisco, marking the interesting sights in the old ghost town, following a report on 'feasibility of the project by Armon Whiting. The group felt that partial restoration of ?c-me cf the dugouts, marking of the road to the cemetery and the coke ovens, and other minor improvements would add to the turist-interest of the area. Lion Gene Sions suggested that the club consider participation partici-pation in the American Legion Boys State program by sponsoring sponsor-ing a Milford youth each year, paying his expenses at the state assembly. His suggestion met with approval and Randy Morris, Mor-ris, Milford's Boys Stater for 1955, will be invited to address the club at the next meeting. |
