Show .FISHING SEASON OPENS SATURDAY; MOST COUNTY LAKES TO BE 'GOOD' Important changes in fishing regulations, various water closures clos-ures and other rules were listed today by the Utah Department of Fish and Game in a final reminder to an expected 170,-000 170,-000 anglers who will open the 1955 general season, Saturday, May 28. "Generally good" fishing is expected to prevail in Beaver Beav-er County, with the fish hatchery stocking the favorite favor-ite fishing waters with thousands thous-ands of trout for the opening. According to Vern Taylor, Beaver Hatchery superintendent, superinten-dent, outlook is about as follows: fol-lows: -i . Puffer's Lake Fair, with the waters beginning to rise. Light stocking this week. Three Creeks Only fair, very light stocking. ... South Fork North Creek Very poor; no stocking. All Other Streams Fairly good; well stocked. Upper Kents No fish. Kents Lake Good; well stocked. Little Reservoir Good; well stocked. Minersville Creek Good; well stocked this year. About 15,00 to 20,000 fish have been planted in the coun- ty, according to Mr. Taylors estimate; however, the plant is lighter this year than normal, with the Game Department planting later-season plants to keep fishing "good" all year. Fish Lake, Panguitch Lake and Navajo Lake open June 11. Daily bag and possession limits are ten trout or seven pounds and or one fish. Resident children 11 years of age and under do not need a license, li-cense, and may catch four fish or three pounds. Children 12 to 15 inclusive may purchase a license for $1. |
