Show ATOM TESTS TO BE MONITORED IN BEAVER COUNTY Three representatives of the Atomic Energy Commission are in Beaver County, making preliminary pre-liminary tests and meeting, with schools, officials of the various communities, and making other advance preparations for the atom bomb tests which will begin be-gin in Nevada about Feb. 14. Joseph Ameen, Francis Woo and William Van Natlan have been checking water and milk sources of the county, taking samples for analysis, and will continue the tests during the atom bomb tests, checking milk and water supplies for any increase in-crease in radiation. Physicians of Southwestern Utah and of Southern Nevada have been Invited to n conference confer-ence at St. George, on Feb. 12, for briefings and discussions of public health and safety aspects of nuclear tests at the Nevada Test Site. |
