Show SEMINARY GRADS HONORED AT ANNUAL BANQUET By George Horlon Parents and Church officials honored 18 prospective Seminary Semi-nary graduates at their banquet and pinning ceremony Friday night in the L D S Recreation hall. The newly installed Presidency Pres-idency of Beaver Stake and their wives were present to add lustre to the occasion, which was planned and prepared by the students under the direction direc-tion of their class officers, Shirley Shir-ley Tomsik, president; Patricia Gronning, vice president; and Sharon Christensen, secretary. The banquet was served by the following ladies, with Mrs. Maudell Crane in charge: Mrs. Barbara Jones, Mrs. Duveen Hanney, Mrs. Mildred Wilcock, Mrs. Seldona Easton, Mrs. Sara Griffiths, Mrs. Afton Nielsen, Mrs. Hilda O'Leary, Mrs. LaRue Banks and Mrs. Frances Kinross. Kin-ross. After the banquet had been served talks were yiven by Shirley Shir-ley Tomsik, Russell Griffiths, and Sally Edwards of the class and by Wallace D. Yardley, J. C. Smith and Dee Stapley of the Stake Presidency. Presentation Presen-tation of the pins was carried out by Bishops Richard Banks and Gael W. Elmer. Dance Revue Pleases Crowd Nearly 100 people were delighted de-lighted by the lighter side of the entertainment, a dance revue re-vue presented by students of Sharon Varley. Numbers on the program were introduced with a colorful fluorescent costume cos-tume routine, "Good Evening, How do You Do?" with Linda Anderson, Judy Jefferson, Judy Miller, Sally Williams and Bunny Bun-ny Thompson. A baby ballet brot smiles and applause for Connie Burt, Susan Su-san Hendrickson and Marlene j Martin. Lee Bracken. Christian Lish I and Karen Thompson were very entertaining with their toe dance lo "Dainty Miss." Another Anoth-er special was the fluorescent 1 tap dance, "There's No Business-Like Business-Like Show Business." with Susan Su-san Williams, Lucille Ferguson, Wilma Aagard, Janice Skilli-corn Skilli-corn and Kaye Labrum. Lucile came back on with a modern interpretation" of "Moon Dust Rhapsody." A real breath-taker was Wilma Wil-ma Aagard's outstanding num- ber, "Charleston." Kay La-I La-I brum followed with a graceful j ballet danced to "Oh." One of the outstanding numbers of the program was a comical song and dance routine to "Sisters" by Susan and Sally Williams. Janice Skillicorn did a fast tap lo "Ida," and the grand ' finale was a fluorescent number, num-ber, "Midnight Choo Choo," by Linda Anderson, Judy Jefferson, Jeffer-son, Judy Miller and Sally William and Bunny Thompson, i |
