Show Society - Clubs Mrs. Palricia Williams. Editor Phone 150 Milford High school in 1945. He served in the armed forces in World War II, -and enrolled at the U S A C after being released from the army. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the U S A C in March, and was recalled to active duty with the U S Air Force, now being stationed sta-tioned at Edwards Air Base, in California. THE HOME of Mr. and Mrs R. E. Banks was the setting Wednesday evening, April 16th. for the wedding of their daughter, daugh-ter, Geraldine, to Mr. Dewey Hawkins Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Hawkins Sr , of Indianapolis, Indian-apolis, Ind. Carlyle Gronning, former bishop of the Milford Second L D S Ward, officiated. The bride wore a street length dress of rose lace over rose taffeta, taf-feta, and carried a colonial bouquet of white carnations and vio'ets. Mrs. Elizabeth Hardy, I matron of honor, wore an ice green satin dress. Her corsage was red roses and tulips. The mother of the bride wore a dress of pale blue taffeta, and Mrs. Hawkins Sr. wore a dress of royal blue satin. Both chose identical corsages of pink carnations. car-nations. Lee Ann Erickson was the flower girl, and Dr. Melvin Bowman acted as best man. Out of town guests attending I the nuptials included Dr. Bow-j Bow-j man of Los Alamos, New Mex.; I Mrs. Eva Bowman, grandmother j of the bride; Mrs. Lorraine Bow-- Bow-- man an d Mrs. E. C. Peay, all of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Devereaux Bowman of Mesa, Ariz.; Mr. and Mrs. Demar Bowman and Mrs. .. Bud Bowman of Cedar City; Mr. and Mrs.' Grant, Es-plin Es-plin of Beaver, and Mrs. Hawkins Hawk-ins of Indianapolis. The newlyweds were feted at a reception at Arion Hall, im- mediately following the cere-j cere-j mony. ! OF INTEREST is the recent I announcement of the engage-I engage-I ment and approaching marriage ' of Miss Joan Baker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milo Baker of Beaver, and Mr. Vernon Hughes, son of Mr! and Mrs. J. M. Hughes. The marriage will take place in the Logan L D S Temple in June. Miss Baker is a graduate of the Beaver High school, where she was very active in student affairs.
