ALMA SLY i Mrs. LaPriel Banks and Mrs. Dixie Lamb, are very busy practicing prac-ticing their dance groups to participate par-ticipate in the dance festival to be held in St. George May 3rd. Fast meeting will be held at Sunday School next Sunday, Apiil 27th, after Sunday School, because of Stake Quarterly Conference Con-ference the following Sunday at Beaver. Ward Conference began with a special Priesthood meeting at 8:30 o'clock Sunday morning, followed by Sunday School. A. Carlos Murdock, Aird G. Merk-ley Merk-ley and Dee Stapley, of the stake presidency, were in attendance. Bishop Evan R. Jones presided and the following were speakers: speak-ers: Carlyle Gronning, LeRoy Griffiths, Larry Edwards, Sally Killam, RaNae Myers, Richard Varley, DeWayne Myers, Barbara Bar-bara Tanner, Carlene Gronning, and Karl Stott. Impressive remarks were made by President Murdock. The following fol-lowing high councilmen were also present: George C. Goodwin, Good-win, Earl Baldwin, LaVel Brad-shaw Brad-shaw and Carlyle Gronning. A special meeting was called for all officers and teachers of all organizations in the L D S Church at 2 o'clock by the stake presidency. The bishopric presided pre-sided and Bishop Jones conducted. conduct-ed. The testimonial talks that were given will not soon be forgotten. for-gotten. They were inspiring and humbly given. With these lead-l lead-l ers, success can be expected in the future as it has been in the past. The Ad.ult Aaronic Priesthood party held Saturday, April 19, was quite successful. Bishop Evan R. Kath-. erine Atkin sang a vocal duet, , accompanied by Eunice Larson, j Miss Bonnie Munk played a "mu-; "mu-; sical saw" selection, accompa-; accompa-; nied by her mother, Mrs. Wanda 1 Munk. Mitchell Fisher con-j con-j ducted the square dancing, and fun was enjoyed by all. Aird I G. The Sunday evening sacra-' sacra-' ment meeting, the conclusion of i Ward Conference, was under ! the supervision of the bishopric. The chorus, un-: un-: der the direction of Aaron Han-I Han-I sen, accompanied by Eunice Larson, rendered a beautiful number. A lovely vocal sqlo was given by Marlys Gillins, accompanied accom-panied by Shirleen Barnes. The deacons were Ned Kohler, Stephen Steph-en Carter and Clark Grimshaw. The officers and teachers of the MIA who traveled to Min- : ersville for stake Leadership 1 meeting were Dick Banks, Bruce Fotheringham, Afton Nielson, Norma Edwards, Eunice Larson, !
