Show Mr. and Mrs. C. R- Perry, general chairman of the Maintained Main-tained of the Way employes Union Un-ion of Denver, and Willis Lee of Las Vegas were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs Guardell Banks last Saturday following union meeting, anrt helped observe the 17th birth anniversary of DeMar Banks. Mr and Mrs. Elmer Frederick of Boulder City, Nev., were visitors vis-itors at the Banks home later in the evening. Mr and Mrs. Joseph A. Sly of San Jacinto, Cal., were overnight over-night visitors at the home of his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Thurland D. Sly Mr and Mrs. Howard N. Lund and Mr. and Mrs. Thurland D. Sly were in Beaver Sunday visiting vis-iting friends and relatives. Mrs. Harry Jefferson, daughter daugh-ter Helene and twin sons, Terry and Gary, of Boise, Idaho, have been visiting Mrs. Frances Jef- ferson, Charles Baxter, and families, fam-ilies, the past week. They left Thursday for Ft. Lawton at Seattle, Se-attle, Wash., to sail for Tokyo , on April 9th to join Major Harry Jefferson, who left a year ago and will be stationed there another an-other two years. En route they will visit in Caliente and Las Vegas, Nev., and in San Francisco, Fran-cisco, Cal. Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Hampshire Hamp-shire and daughter Deane, of Salt Lake City, were week-end guests at the home of Mrs. Hampton's sister, Mrs. J. H. Vernon. Ver-non. Mr. and Mrs. Owen R. Smith have received word that their son, Albert B. Smith, a graduate of Mi1 ford High school and the University of Utah, has received a Fellowship from the University Univer-sity and will do research work on a new type of battery that is being developed by the U S Government. Albert has been employed by Bisch and Gudgil, construction engineers. Mr. and Mrs. Max B. Roberts and sons of McGill, Nev., were here attending funeral srevices for Jodi Mae Penfield. Howard Bingham is home from the U S A C at Logan between be-tween quarters. Mr. Marion Treat is confined ' to the Las Vegas hospital. Mrs Treat was in the Nevada city this week visiting her husband Visiting at the home of Principal Prin-cipal and Mrs. Max G. Abbott for a week is Mrs. Abbott's mother, Mrs. Elaine Smith of Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Arleigh Cam-peau Cam-peau are back in Milford to make their home. They had been living in Cedar City . Mr. and Mrs. Kay Ashworth of Beaver were Sunday visitors at the home of Mrs. Ashworth's j sister, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Lee. I Mrs. Harry Mills and Mrs. Joseph Rickerson returned from San Bernardino. Cal.. where they were called because of the illness of their sister, Mrs. Marie (Tiny) McGinty, who js now improving. im-proving. Correction Robert Mclntyre, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Mclntyre, has received a promotion to staff sergeant. Last week we reported report-ed that Bob was now a sergeant He has held the rank of sergeant for some time ,and is now a staff serguant at Roslyn Air Force Base. Jim Trimble, CV3, has joined his wife, Mrs. Beverly Hanney Trimble,' in Milford after serving serv-ing the past six months in Japan. He has served a total of 64 months overseas, and will now be stationed at Litchfield Park Ariz. ' Mr. and Mrs. Gene Mayer and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schramm were in Las Vegas last Saturday and Sunday. Mrs. Nell Ralston of Salt Lake is back in Milford for an extended ex-tended visit with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs Walter McCulley. |
