REPUBLICANS PLAN STATE FUND RAISING DRIVE "Crusade to Victory!" will be the theme of this year's Republican Repub-lican state - wide fund - raising program of the Utah Republican Finance Committee, George T. Hansen, chairman, announced yesterday. The eight-week drive will culminate at a dinner and program to be held at the Rain-l)OW Rain-l)OW Rendevu in SairLake City If I I1' 'TT I Senator Everett M. Diiksen on May 22, with U S Senator Everett M. Dirkson of Illinois as principal speaker, along with other national and state Repub-I Repub-I lican leaders. ' The fund-raising responsibili-I responsibili-I ty will be apportioned by quota ' among all counties in the state, i with contributions clearing thru 1 the State Finance Committee. I The $100 unit p'an, practiced successfully in political fund-, fund-, raising thruout the nation, will . be followed, and a ticket to the ! May 22 rally and dinner will be issued to the contributor of each $100, or to a group in smaller ; amounts totaling $100. The ; group will decide whom shall use the ticket. Mr. Hansen pointed out that even though the Rainbow Ren-, Ren-, devue will accommodate up-I up-I wards of 1000 guests ,it would I be impossie to seat more than a small percentage of those who are expected to contribute to ' the Republican Party. "The unit plan gives an opportunity for all to help the Republican cause in this crucial year," he said, "and donors of small amounts can decide who shall represent them. "Funds raised will be divided equally between national, state j and county campaigns." |
