Show NEWS AND NOTES FROM THE flDUforb Elementary School Boots Befooled the King," which will be put on at a P.-T. A. meeting meet-ing in April. The cast of characters char-acters are: King, queen, jester, first suitor, second suitor, herald, her-ald, father, Peter, Paul, Boots, old crockery vender, her daughter, daugh-ter, page, lord councilor, his daughter, first maid servant, second maid servant, first lady in waiting, second lady in waiting, wait-ing, nurse, princess. All are played by the students in Mr. Brady's fifth grade. MR. FISHER'S SIXTH GRADE We have spent the last few weeks working on radio scripts. We hape now divided the clas into committees of four and five students each. Each group is responsible for writing and pre senting a short play or dialogue to the rest of the class. When one is ready for presentation, those in the play give it to the class over the loud-speaker system, sys-tem, and it is recorded so the cast in it may hear it later. It's "business as usual" at the Milford Elementary school this week, with many items of interest inter-est from the different groups. Here is the latest word on them, from the Kindergarten up to the Sixth grade: KINDERGARTEN The Kindergerten children are really happy. They are working work-ing in new "reading readiness" books,, .They are sure they are learning to read. We have fun playing our rhythm band. We like music time. MRS. PRICE'S FIRST GRADE Our room is looking for signs of spring, even though the weather makes us wonder if it will ever come! We have made a list of things we look for, and called it ' "Signs of Spring" I 1. The snow molts. 2. Bluebirds, robins and other summer birds are seen. 3. Tulips begin to grow. I 4. Tree leaves begin to bud and turn green. 5. Lawns start to get green. 6. The bear wakes up from his winter sleep. ! 7. Farmers plant their crops. I 8. Boys play marbles. I 9. Giris jump the rope . ( We hope to see these signs soon and know you do too. SECOND GRADE j All the room are writing let-j let-j ters. The teacher is having us I send our letters. We are writing ! them to our friends and rela-j rela-j tives. We all want answers. We think it is a lot of fun to write J letters. Huber Smith. MISS COLE'S ROOM Miss Cole's group has had a new teacher for the first three i days of this week. Mrs. Mem-' Mem-' mott has been teaching the class because Miss Cole has been ill. Last Friday was Miss Cole's 1 father's birthday. He came to see the class and Miss Cole went back to Provo with him when he left. We were glad to see her I when she came back. - MR. KING'S ROOM We are studying about motion pictures and how they are made. How they set up the set, how they make cartoons. The hardest hard-est kind of pictures to make are cartoons, because it is hard to make people laugh. The easiest kind of pictures are Westerns, because they don't need a lot of fancy costumes and scenery. We just got through studying about transportation.
