They had an enjoyable time, except for encountering en-countering many storms. Mrs. Eloise Murdock, who was readmitted to the Beaver County Coun-ty Hospital last Wednesday, has returned to her home, and is recovering re-covering satisfactorily. Mrs. Murdock was ill with pneumonia. pneu-monia. Ruth and Rachel Marshall of Salt Lake City, and Aldean Marshall Mar-shall of the B A C were in Minersville Min-ersville over the week-end to attend the wedding reception of Mrs. Don F. Clark, the former Genevieve Robinson. Friends of Mrs. Mary Dalton will be glad to know that she has enjoyed comparatively good health during her winter stay in California and that she is missing miss-ing all her Minersville frineds. Ice cream and cake were i served to the large crowd of well-wishers, and a nice array j of lovely gifts were received by ; the newlyweds. j i The Minersville Literary club ; met Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Shirley Hollings-' Hollings-' head, where they heard a delightful de-lightful report on the book "Pre-J "Pre-J cious Jeopardy," by Lloyd C. ! Douglas, given by Mrs. Reva Al-I Al-I brecht. Light refreshments were served by Mrs. Hollingshead to Mrs. Ada Griffiths, Mrs. Phyllis Phyl-lis Truman, Mrs. Melba Baker, and Mrs. Emily Gillins. Several members were unable to be I present because of illness. Minersville residents attending attend-ing funeral services at Beaver Tuesday for Alton C. Black, includes in-cludes Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Pearson, Pear-son, Mr. and Mrs. Theo Marshall, Dan Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Thur-man Thur-man Eyre, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Clar-ence Giilins, Mr. and Mrs. Heber Gillins, and Mrs. Joanne Eyre. The wedding reception honoring honor-ing Mr. and Mrs. Don Forest Clark Saturay evening was a lovely affair, along with an entertaining en-tertaining program. Mrs. Clark, the former Genevieve Robinson, was charming as she received guests in a gown of white lace and net over satin. The dress was fashioned with a high neckline neck-line with a bodice of lace, long sleeves which tapered to points above the wrist, and a full skirt of net over satin which fell to floor length. A satin halo was caught to a fingertip veil of illusion, il-lusion, and she held a cascade bouquet of carnations and bouv-ardia bouv-ardia encircling a white orchid. The matron of honor was Mrs. Richard Schwab, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Lorna Nielsen, close friend and former missionary companion of the new Mrs. Clark, and another close friend from Salt Lake City. The best man duties were performed per-formed by a brother of the groom. The program presented during dur-ing the evening was emceed by Mrs. June Pearson. Those taking tak-ing part were Sonya Hollingshead Hollings-head and Darla Robinson of Beaver, Howard Lowe, Aldean Marshall, Carol Robinson of Beaver, Harold and Melba Baker, Bak-er, 'Mrs. EHnor Marshall, Sylva Davis and Vivian Marshall, and Lee Marshall. Hula dances and singing accompanied ac-companied by guitar music were outstanding features of the program, pro-gram, presented by Lorna Nielsen, Niel-sen, Marvel Battad and Martha Mau, the latter two being natives Miss Madalyn Eyre, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Eyre, reached the age of four on I March 14th. A group of little ' friends were invited to join the birthday celebration. Birthday j cake, peanuts, bubblegum and candy were on the menu. The room was attractively decorated with balloons, later given to the following children: Reed and Roger Carter, Adele Gillins, Linda Wood, David and Susan Marshall, Fawn Dotson, Beverly Rollins, Clark Davis and Karl Gillins. Raymond Baker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Baker, also 1 celebrated his eighth birthday on Wednesday. Invitations were given to the second and third grades, which resulted in a housefull of friends. Raymond received many nice gifts and his many friends enjoyed the refreshments re-freshments and games. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Gillins and Susan, and Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Carter returned home Monday Mon-day evening after a ten-day vacation va-cation in the Deep South, where |
