BETH FISHER It was a noisy time for all i'l.ast Monday afternoon when the Primary children gave a party in honor of the children in the Primary Hospital in Salt i Lake City. Of course ,the hon-I hon-I ored guests were unable to be ' present, but part of the proceeds pro-ceeds from the party wiU go I to them to help in equipping and maintaining the hospital. 1 After the preliminary exercises exer-cises all met in the recreation hall where booths and fish ponds were set up. Home mad? candy, popcorn balls, punch and cookies were sold. Parents were invited, as well as children chil-dren from the First Ward. John R. Hardy, who with his wife visited the Primary Hospital Hos-pital in Salt Lake City recently, recent-ly, spoke in Sunday School on Feb. 10. He described the hospital hos-pital and told about their visit. Mr. Hardy urged everyone to be generous in contributing their birthday pennies for this new hospital . Last Sunday evening in Sac-fament Sac-fament meeting the girls from the Home Builder classes in Primary presented two skits and sang a song about the Primary Pri-mary hospital and the Birthday Penny drive. There will be no Sunday School or Junior Sunday School in the Second Ward next Sunday. Sun-day. Instead, all are expected to be in attendance at conference confer-ence in Beaver. Those desiring transportation and those who have extra room in their cars are asked to meet at the church Sunday morning at . 8:45 so that as many as possible can go. On Feb. 27 there will be a Ward Teacher's Conference held in Minersville. LaGrande Richards of the Presiding Bishopric Bish-opric is to be in attendance. This is for all ward teachers and their partners. The Second Ward Gold and Green Ball will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 26. There was an attendance of about 170 persons at Sunday School on Feb. 10th. The count at Sacrament meeting was 140. Speakers in Sacrament meeting meet-ing last Sunday were Leroy Harris and George C. Goodwin of the Stake High Council. Inasmuch as the past week was Boy Scout week, a special talk was given by Rue Nielsen Niel-sen in Mutual last Tuesday night. In his remarks he stat- , |
