Show Japan. Ira Daniels of Los Angeles, Potato Marketing Co. official, was in town the early part of the week making arrangements for shipping the potato crop. He returned to Los Angeles on Wednesday, but will be back in Milford again Tuesday, to remain re-main thru the harvest and shipping ship-ping season. Madelyn Kohler is in Downey, Calif., returning a visit paid her by Miss Marilyn Markshef-fel Markshef-fel of that city. "Doc" Kohler is in Wyoming enjoying an antelope hunt. The J. F. Triboles have as their guest Miss Virginia Hess of Chicago, who is en route to Honolulu to teach in the University Uni-versity of Hawaii. She has a teacher fellowship in mathematics. mathe-matics. Miss Hess, . a graduate of Miami University at Oxford, Ohio, will leave California by air on Sept. 10th. While here she enjoyed a visit to Bryce and Zion National Park. She will leave for Long Beach, accompanied accompa-nied by Bill Tribole, Tuesday I evening. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thompson I of Bountiful drove down over the week-end for a day of fish- ing. They brought Earl's mother, moth-er, who had been visiting in j Bountiful. Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Jensen, formerly of Milford but now of Hollywood, were called to Gunnison Gun-nison Sunday by the serious illness ill-ness of Mr. Jensen's father. Mr. Jensen stopped in Milford to pick up his sister, Mrs. Lawrence Law-rence Easton. Latest word from Gunnison is that Mr. Jensen, also a former resident of Milford, Mil-ford, is slightly improved. Mrs. Cottrell received a card from Roy Cottrell, this week, saying "All well and having a fine trip." Mr. and Mrs. Roy, accompanied by Prof, and Mrs. Fred Cottrell of Oxford, Ohio, j are touring the New England l States. Roy expects to be back j in Milford about Sept. 10th. Mrs. Esther Blake returned Thursday, Sept. 1st, from Butte, Monday, to which city she was called by the serious illness of her brother, Edmund Sundberg. Mr. Sundberg is still ill, but is improving satisfactorily. Milford visitors from Japan, last Thursday and Friday, were Mr. and Mrs. Bert Sanders and son Harold, who were house guests of their friends, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Moore. The Sanders are touring interesting places in the U. S. before returning to |
