Show CITY COUNCIL DISCUSSES WATER COMMITTEE REPORT Report of receiving $597 for the airport fund and $250 for the fire department, all from Beaver County tax funds, and assurance of receiving $2090.93 from the state for maintenance of B and C roads, put the City Dads in a better humor -at the regular council meeting Wednesday eve ning. Also, a report from the regional office of the CAA approved ap-proved reimbursement for damage dam-age to the airport during the winter haylift operations. The approved clqim for slightly over $5,000 has been forwarded to Washington. A letter from Congressman Walter K. Granger, replying to a query regarding the status of the Milford post office building, was read and filed. The letter followed the same pattern as an earlier letter to Councilman Alt-j Alt-j man, printed on an inside page ' of this issue of The News. Remainder of the evening was taken up with discussion of the leport of the special water committee, com-mittee, with nothing definite accomplished. |
