Show GOOD WEATHER ASSURED FOR ANNUAL LEGION FORTY-NINER DAYS "Fair and Warmer" was the welcome word from the weatherman weath-erman when he prognosticated the outlook for today's Forty-Niner Forty-Niner Celebration. He assured the worried committee that thej balmy weather would last thru- out the night and not dampen j the spirits of the trippers of the! light fantastic in the Legion's outdoor pavilion. The Gold Rush Parade, beginning begin-ning at 2:15 p. m. under the direction di-rection of "Butch" Gillespie, will feature Bonnie Tomsik, Forty-Niner Queen, and an array ar-ray of floats and horses and bands and foot-marchers such as is seldom seen in Milford. Immediately Im-mediately following the parade, the youngsters will run their soapbox derby, then engage in contests of skill and luck until evening. The Melody Makers will play for dancing until the wee small hours while fortune-seekers will I try their luck at mock games of chance in Allen's Alley. |
