Show Lion President ; "X -i :i M - "'1 Dr. L. F. Kohler DR.L.F.KOEER MED PRESIDENT OF LIONS CLUB Dr. Lloyd F. Kohler, vice-president of the Milford Lions Club for the past year, was elected president at the regular meeting of the club in the Catholi' hurch Wednesday evening. The meeting was held on Wednesday instead of Thursday in order to avoid conflict with the Forty-Niner Forty-Niner celebration. Dr. Herbert B. Fowler was named first vice-president, and Claude Horton, second vice-president. vice-president. Reelected to the office of secretary-treasurer was Maurice Walters, who took over the duties of that office a year ago. Also returned to their jobs were Vance Fisher, tailtwister, and Dick Foerster, lion tamer. S. A. Williams and Dr. Lloyd A. Busch were named to the board of directors. di-rectors. Retiring President Sam Cline opened the meeting with a letter let-ter from the district governor, calling attention to a laboriously hand-carved wooden bear, which was sent to Milford from the "Merci Train". The Lions of the state cooperated in adding a car of wheat to the train which recently carried gifts from the American people to the people of France. The gift will be displayed dis-played in the Dr. Kohler office window for a week or two, then put on permanent display in the Milford State Bank. A Milford Lions Lehman'? Cave Day will be observed early in July, with His Excellency, Gov. Bracken Lee, invited to attend. at-tend. Also to be invited to meet with the group at the cave will be members of the Utah State Highway Commission, Union Pacific Pa-cific officials, and officials from Nevada. |
