Show THIRTY MINUTE HAIR DRYER SWEEPING MARKET With a minimum of fanfare, an litem recently slid quietly into 'departmen stores which, upon in-' in-' vestigation, created something of a sensation with the ordinarily I blase women who serve as I guinea pigs for all kinds of beauty and grooming aids. This was a home hair dryer, with a hood, that dries hair so noiselessly noise-lessly and so swiftly you have almost an eerie feeling about it. You think there must be a gimmick. There isn't, though. This looks at first glance like the regulation regula-tion home dryer. There are grand innovations, however. The most important of these is the hood, which is placed over the head in such a way that its snug edge comes well below the hair line. It is fastened at the other end to the air outlet. This means when the switches are on that the even warm air generated is not dissipated in the least. The hair dries in a fantastically short tme sometimes in as little as 10 minutes. Thirty minutes is ample for the average head of hairthat is set and pin curled. The dryer never gets too hot under the heavy air pressure because be-cause of a thermostat control. And your arm never gets tired holding it. There is a little hook with it so that you can insert in any wall handy to the place where you'd like to sit while your hair is drying; you hang the whole thing up near an electric elec-tric outlet. The switches are easy to get at, and fast in their action, and the whole gadget is as quiet as the proverbial mouse. It weighs 2 pounds. |
