Show News Notes from the STATE FISH & GAME i The arrest of two Salt Lake City policemen with three others for fishing in Scott Avenue Hatchery at 2:00 a.m. led the list of arrests this week as released re-leased by the Utah Fish and Game Department. The two policemen are Kenneth Ken-neth C. Farnsworth and Kenneth Ken-neth J. Price. They were apprehended, appre-hended, arrested, and fined along with Bob Walton, Roy Morgan, and N. D. Hayward, all of Salt Lake City. Farnsworth, Price and Walton paid $30, each. Morgan and Hay-ward Hay-ward were fined $35. All were given 30-day suspended jail sentences. Other arrests reported today by the game department, and the fines each violator paid included: in-cluded: Fishing in closed waters , Karen Carter, Minersville, $25-10. $25-10. Fishing after hours Maynard Jensen, Richfield, $25-10; Mrs. Norma Jensen, Richfield, $25-10: $25-10: Elvie D. Larsen, Richfield, $25-10. Sportsmen of the state were today reminded of this week's five-meeting tour of the Board of Big Game by Ross Leonard, Utah game director and chairman chair-man of the board. The board will open its annual fact finding session July 6th at Duchesne at 3:00 p.m.' Other sessions will be held in Salina at 1:00 p.m. July 7; in Nephi at 7:30 the same day; Og-' Og-' den at 2:00 p.m. July 8th, and Salt Lake City at 7:00 p.m., July 8th. The executive session will be held in Salt Lake City July 9th, at 9:00 a.m. The meetings are held annually an-nually to draw information from all sources to detrmine the big game data for the fall seasons. The board at its July 9th session ses-sion will determine the number of hornless deer to be taken on all of the State's ranges and also prescribe the special restrictions re-strictions for the big game hunts in general. |
