Show MASTER SINGERS TO APPEAR HERE The Master Singers, widely-known widely-known group of choral artists from Cedar City, will be brought to Milford in late August or early September, under auspices of the Milford Lions Club. E. L. Smith will be in charge of arrangements, ar-rangements, and advance ticket sales. The singers probably will appear in Library Park, with the spectators seated on the lawn and the singers on the Legion pavilion pa-vilion floor. Other business conducted at the regular meeting of the Lions Club Thursday evening included raising the dues from- $6 to $9 per quarter, a discussion of the delay in work on Highway 21 and the ignoring, on the part of the State Highway Commission, of a request by the local club for a meeting to discuss Highway 21. It was also reported that as soon as the government has disposed dis-posed of surplus equipment at Modena, the weather bureau station sta-tion wil lbe moved to Milford. John P. Lyman new member of The Milford News staff, was introduced as a guest and prospective pros-pective member. |
