Show III . gjM -'I Ivy Gabbitas Averett Graveside rites held here for Ivy G. Averett Funeral services were held Wednesday in Salt Lake City for Ivy Gabbitas Averett, 72, wife of Lionel Averett and former for-mer residents of Springville. Mrs. Averett died at the home of a son in Bountiful, May 18, 1969. Burial and graveside services ser-vices were also conducted at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery! Cem-etery! She was born August 7, 1896 at East Rock Creek, Idaho, to Robert William and Mary Eliza Taylor Gabbitas. She married Lionel Lee Averett, March 17, 1916, in Provo and the marriage was later solemnized solem-nized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She worked in the Sunday School, MIA, and taught seminary semi-nary in its beginning about 1935. Survivors include her husband, hus-band, son, daughters, Verl L., Bountiful; Mrs. Donald A. (Vera) Burt; Mrs. Keith P. (Ardith) MacKay, Salt Lake City; 21 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; foster son, daughter, Donald Huit, Mrs. Bruce (Gloria) Scrivens, Denver, Den-ver, Colorado; brothers, Robert Rob-ert O. Gabbitas, Provo; George W. Gabbitas, Bakersfield, California; Cal-ifornia; P. L. Gabbitas, Bountiful. |
