Show Emesl Eberhard Jr. Springville man to receive honorary degree Ernest Eberhard Jr. of this city, and director of curriculum, curricu-lum, Department of Seminaries Seminar-ies and Institutes of Religion of the LDS Church at the BYU, will be one of five to receive honorary doctor's degrees at the 94th annual commencement convocation, May 29. Mr. Eberhard will have the coctor of humanities conferred on him at the commencement rites. Mr. Eberhard has been a teacher tea-cher for 38 years, served two terms as mayor of Preston, Idaho, and was formerly an LDS bishop in that community for ten years. A native of Germany, Ger-many, he came to America with his parents when he was a small child and knew the hardships of Idaho farm life. He deceived the B.S. degree in 1934 at BYU, the M.A. in 1959, and has done graduate work at University of Idaho, Utah State University and University of Southern California. He has published two books and numerous num-erous magazine and professional profession-al articles. |
