Show Council handles small routine business Monday Action taken at the Springville Spring-ville City Council meeting held Monday night was somewhat abbreviated according to minutes min-utes recorded for the session. Mi. and Mrs. John Collett and two interested men met with the council to discuss water wa-ter on their property in the canyon. No action was taken pending a study by City Engineer En-gineer John Neff. The council resolved that the Ccrps of Engineers be authorized author-ized to do work on Hobble Creek foi flood control. Motion passed unanimously. Another resolution was adopted to protect the municipal muni-cipal water supplies in the canyon. can-yon. Councilman Peay made a motion mo-tion with a second by Councilman Council-man Child the mayor and city recorder be authorized to sign the contract agreement with the Board of Health of Utah County, wherein the city win contribute at the rate of twenty-seven cents per capita. This is the city's share of the county-wide program for ' the new fiscal year. Motion passed unanimously. Wage and contracts, building inspection procedures, insurance insur-ance increases, and a hearing in connection with the death of a school employee occupied the full attention of the Nebo School Board members at their meeting Monday night. Negotiations with teachers on the basis of a set percentage percen-tage of the amount of money available this fall for instruction instruc-tion and supplies will be made |
