Robert Wakefield, standing, as Mathew Harrison Brady, and Clark Uishop as George Sillers in "Inherit the Wind," a courtroom drama scheduled tonight, Friday and Saturday at the high school and directed by Merrill Carter. Opening tonight Inherit the Wind' of SMS "The greatest courtroom drar,:a cf the century!" These words appropriately describe the high school production pro-duction of Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee's "Inherit the Wind" which is opening tonight in the beautiful high school auditorium. Scheduled for a. three I night run, tonight, Friday and Saturday, the drama concerns a man on trial for his beliefs. The tense and moving story explores the age-old conflict of thinking men in a society reluctant to change. The production is under the direction of Merrill R. Carter, dramatics teacher at the high school. Leading roles will be played by Robert Rob-ert Wakefield, Pete Giles, Daryl Tucker, Tommy Tip- petts, Cheryl Weight and Erie Bird with a. large supporting sup-porting cast. Special scenery, scen-ery, lighting and sound techniques tech-niques have been prepared for the court room setting. Cuitain time for each night's performance is 8 p.m. There is a small admission admis-sion charge for students with their activity cards. The public may obtain admission ad-mission at the door. |
