Show Nebo Board of Education approves bids for notes and tennis courts The board of education of Nebo School Disrtict met in special session July 2 to act upon proposed anticipation notes for the 1968-69 school year. The clerk reported to the board that he had solicited bids as authorized by the board and that the bid from the First Security Se-curity Bank at 4.307r was deemed unsatisfactory and recommended re-commended that the bid from Continental Bank with a 4.0 percent was better and be accepted. ac-cepted. The following resolution resolu-tion was approved by the Nebo Board: "Be it resolved by the board of education of Nebo School District, Spanish Fork, County of Utah, State of Utah. "That, whereas, there is an immediate and pressing need of raising funds to defray the current expenses of the board of education of the Nebo School District, for the maintenance of schools within such district, purchasing school sites and erecting school buildings for the school year commencing July 1, 1968. "Now, therefore, be it resolved re-solved that the board of education edu-cation of the Nebo School District, Dis-trict, Spanish Fork, Utah, for the purpose of defraying the current expenses of said school district, for the maintenance of schools within said district, purchasing school sites and erecting er-ecting school buildings for the school year commencing July 1, 1968, borrow the sum of $1,500,000.00 and for that purpose pur-pose and as evidence of such intention, issue its promissory bonds in the amount of $1,500,-j 000.00 to be dated July 1, 1968, to be numbered from one (1) to fifteen (15) inclusive, all in ed tennis courts at the new Springville High School and at Payson High School. A tabulation tabula-tion of the bids was as follows: Thorn Constr. Co $19,167 Harold Hurst Constr $19,404 Clegg Constr. Co $19,675 The bide of Thorn's was accepted ac-cepted unanimously by the board. the denomination of one thousand thou-sand and no 100th dollars ($100,000.00) each, all to mature ma-ture June 30, 1969, all to bear interest at the rate ' of 4.07o per annum. Both principal and interest are to be payable at maturity at the Continental Bank and Trust Company, Salt Lake City, Utah, and the bonds are to be known as 'Nebo School District Tax Anticipation Anticipa-tion oBnds, Series of July 1, 1968'."
