I -r " s-. - v-y5-i TOI DEBUTANTES Designated Honorary Honor-ary Seal Girls at the third annual Debutante Ball of Utah Valley Honors Cotillion Saturday Satur-day evening were, left to right, Janice Ma-land, Ma-land, Provo; Susan Kofford, Orem; Rosemary Smith, American Fork, named Debutante of 1968; Marlene McCausland of Spanish Fork who received the title of Miss Congeniality, and Donella Brown, Mapleton. To receive the honor the girls attended a play, a ballet and a symphony, developed home arts, social graces and many other program activities in addition to attendance at regular meetings 1 of the organization, maintaining at least a 3.0 average in school and 75 attendance at their church. Several local girls participated par-ticipated in the function which attracted a large croud of Utah County citizens and dignitaries dig-nitaries including the mayors of the various cities. President Ernest L. Wilkinson of the BYU presented the debutantes and in the reception line were the Honorable Clyde V. Miller, secretary of state, and Utah County mayors including F. Calvin Packard of this city and Douglas Bills of Mapleton. The event was held in Utah County Building. |
