The plans were presented by Mr. Palmer to Ray Parry of the Flanning Commission last week. The road is an extension of 3rd West on south from John Holly's Hol-ly's corner through the property proper-ty owned by Palmer and Candland. Cand-land. They requested that 50 South Street be removed or eliminated eliminat-ed from the plans. Fay Jensen showed plans on how the property pro-perty and land are situated. It was explained that the Planning Plan-ning Commission approve a plan and the City Council has the final say on the approval of any buildings or proposed subdivisions. Mr. Palmer asked about a , water line In the subdivision and how it could be financed. He was informed that the full cash payment had to be made in advance. Ray Parry led .a discussion on subdivision problems in the community. It was felt that a subdivision policy should be developed de-veloped to guide any developers develop-ers coming into the community. Mayor Bills suggested that the complete area of subdivisions subdivi-sions be investigated and an ordinance passed to help control con-trol of this area. Mayor Bills agreed to get an up-to-date copy of all City Ordinances Or-dinances so that a clear understanding un-derstanding of problems in this area is available. Del Law and Harold Cox proposed at the meeting that they buy three acres of land . from Ron Lee on the west side of his property. The access road is I&V2 feet into the property pro-perty and they understood it was a public lane. They presented a drawing of their proposed program. LaVell Bird reported that Clint Young had called him and wanted the City to put a cement ce-ment wall in the ditch on the road side of his property. It was recommended that they be purchased in-as-much as the civic clubs are contributing the money for them. All were in favor of the purchase. The Mayor presented the trailer house ordinance of Springviile City. Orem's was discussed as well. Ray Whiting made a motion that Spring-ville's Spring-ville's ordinance be adopted for Mapleton.
