Show Open letter Citizen asks, ho is minding store?' Editor's note-Concerning note-Concerning the U. S. vice president's visit to Utah last week, a prominent Utah County Coun-ty citizen, Charles A. Ilenson of Provo, had this to say in a letter to the editor: Utah County was honored Friday to be chosen by the Vicej President of the United States as the place to make a "major policy speech." However, it became be-came very obvious, very quickly quick-ly that this was another non-political non-political political speech since most of the "major policies" have been on the front pages of our papers for weeks. There is one question which occures to me for which I can find no logical answer. With the President of the United States on an extended overseas trip, why is the Vice President in Utah campaigning for the Democratic Party? Somehow to me, national interest should come ahead of local and regional region-al political campaigns and with the President out of the coun try, the Vice President U be at home minding th Charles A.
