Show s ; ' 1! A. i Roy Tanner Gayle Whiting Seniors of the iveei' Steno and Ski Clubs and was a member of the Pep Club. She has helped with school dances and is not only a leader lead-er but a fine student maintaining maintain-ing an A average during junior and senior high and is also active ac-tive in LDS Church work. She plans to attend BYU and is interested in teaching with a major in education or home economics. Editor's note: N The high school is this week, beginning a series of "Student of the Week" stories featuring outstanding seniors. Plans are to run two each week from now until school closes in May. The feature is in charge of Pat Thorn. Roy Tanner Roy Tanner, the studentbody president, has been selected as "Student of the Week" this week. An A student, his main interest (so far as school studies stu-dies are concerned) are in math, science and debate. He is a member of the Physics Club, popular among senior boys and has helped to initiate the Coordinating Council and the Standard school sweater this year. He also worked hard on homecoming activities especially es-pecially the dance. He played a part in the recent school play and is reported to be a real asset to the debate team. His plans for the future include college at BYU, majoring in science and math possibly to teach and he also hopes to fill an LDS Mission. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. John W. Tanner, Tan-ner, 60 East 4th North. Gayle Whiting Gayle Whiting, representing the senior girls as "Student of the Week" comes from Mapleton, Ma-pleton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Whiting. She is doing do-ing a fine job as studentbody secretary, having gained much experience in previous service positions. She was vice president presi-dent of her eighth grade class, Seminary historian in her freshman year and Ski Club secretary as a junior. She is presently an active member of |
